3 PENNY TOY BUSES.

The first bus is probably the most interesting and desirable, small in stature but overpowering in appearance. On the upper level there is a plethora of die cut passengers and in the simulated lower level displays many passengers. Written on the both sides of the bus “The Electric Omnibus Company”. One more interesting feature of this penny toy, is the upper level has a small sliding lid where tiny candies or breath mints could have been placed. Most of the times, this sliding small cover is usually missing. Bus overall is in very fine plus original condition. The second bus slightly larger in stature but not as complicated, is what one would normally see while traveling the streets of London. The side of the bus is marked “General”. Overall condition is fine to very fine. The third bus, largest of the three, is quite colorful with vibrant litho finish. This vehicle actually has a staircase rising from the lower level to the upper level. Overall condition of this vehicle is very fine plus. A great grouping of penny toy buses from the earlier part of the 20th Century! SIZE: Approx 3-3/8″, 3-1/2″, 4-3/8″ l respectively. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As stated above. 1-14691 (800-1,200) – Lot 1084
