WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 OCTAGON BARREL FULL MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH 28″ BARREL, SPECIAL SIGHTS, SET TRIGGER, AND CRESCENT BUTT.

SN 19285. Cal. 45-60. 28″ bbl. Blue finish. Straight grained American walnut stocks with crescent butt. Rocky Mountain blade front sight and unique rear sight with buckhorn aperture and ladder. Sgl set trigger. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 40-50% blue with high point wear, some staining and sharp bbl marks. Magazine tube is a mottled gray patina. Sights are very good. Rear sight has a small crack on one ear. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Bolt and firing pin need repair. Receiver shows a mottled brown patina overall with some damage to side plate screw and a replaced loading gate screw. Hammer and lever are also gray-brown patina. Set trigger needs adjustment. Stocks are very good and full-sized with only minor handling marks overall and some light cleaning. Buttplate is silver-gray with dry oil stains. Forend cap is a plum-brown patina. A very good model 76 rifle with special order sights and set trigger that just needs a little TLC. 49971-23 TEP (3,000-5,000) – Lot 1056
