LEHMANN AHA & ONKEL WITH BIRDS.

The Aha is a somewhat common Lehmann toy. This particular example is in very fine plus all-original condition. This vehicle came with and without a driver. However, Mr. Soling added a seated chauffeur to the front for display purposes (figure slips right out). The litho is bright & vibrant with even the gold flashing mostly intact and bright as well. The white on the tires shows minimal evidence of having run on the floor. Clockwork mechanism intact and operational. The Lehmann Onkel is a somewhat more obscure version, this perhaps being a very early version. The umbrella itself features flying and/or nesting birds. This particular version also has gold flashed wheels with probably a large percentage of the gold flashing still intact & bright, the front wheel is a lead wheel as opposed to later versions which utilized a pressed tin 2-sided wheel. Overall very good to fine original condition, especially to top of umbrella which is in very fine to near mint condition. Clockwork mechanism intact & in operational condition. A real tough version of this toy to find! SIZE: Each is approx 5-1/2″ l. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As described above. 1-14745 (800-1,200) – Lot 1056
