*VERY EARLY COLT 1911 ARMY MODEL. CAL. 45 ACP. Standard 1911 with last patent date of 1911, rounded rear sight and thin front sight. The serial is on the right front side of the frame and it has the early magazine release screw. Diamond checkered grips and 2-tone magazine. The bbl is the early type with the parallel proofs. SN 6257. CONDITION: Poor to fair having been cleaned to bright, “U.S. PROPERTY” removed and allowed to rust all over. It now has light to moderate pitting over frame and slide. Very worn grips, strong bright bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-45830 (300-500)
