NEW ENGLAND PERCUSSION HALF STOCK BUCK AND BALL RIFLE. NSN. Cal. 20ga. 43-3/4″; 1/2 oct. bbl – does not fit the breech well. Horse head patchbox typical of those found on Massachusetts rifles. Lock has been converted from flintlock and the hammer may be a replacement. CONDITION: Rust-brown patina on all iron parts. Stock has several repairs on the forearm with some chips on the forearms and nosepiece. Several cracks in the wrist area and some of the wire inlay is missing. Wooden rib under the bbl is badly chipped around the ramrod pipes. Mechanically functional. 4-47214 FS681 (500-800)
