DAUM CORNFLOWER PITCHER.

Daum pitcher has cameo cornflower decoration surrounding the body against a mottled purple shading to yellow background. The cornflowers in the yellow section are enameled in shades of blue with red stamen, while the flowers in the purple area are enameled in shades of brown and cream. The stems, leaves and buds have gilded highlights. All against an acid textured ground. Pitcher is finished with applied yellow glass handle. Signed on the underside “Daum Nancy” with the cross of Lorraine. SIZE: 8″ t. PROVENANCE: From a prominent Midwest collection.
