KENDALL UNDER HAMMER PISTOL. SN 216. Cal. .45. 5″ part oct. bbl. Marked “N. KENDALL/WINDSOR VT” on top of the bbl and ‘SMITH’S /IMPROVED/PATENT/STUD/LOCK” on the bbl tang. The crudely bent upper tang with welded repair indicates that this might have been made from a rifle but the bbl has the proper turning at the muzzle and center for a pistol bbl. CONDITION: Gray patina with light pitting over all. Tip of the trigger is broken off. Stock has a repaired crack at the wrist and numerous dents and scratches but retains 75% of the original varnish.
