RARE LARGE PAINTED CITY BANK WITH CHIMNEY.

A rare and highly sought after still bank of a building with dormers and chimney enameled in a multitude of colors. Of unknown manufacture, this bank still retains its unusual trap to remove money on the underside of bank. Extremely and elaborately well-cast, this is perhaps on the top 10 list of painted buildings! Overall condition has some uniform chipping to painted surfaces but paint is greatly still intact, most interesting was the variety of colors that were used – 8 unique and different colors were employed in the decoration of this bank. SIZE: Approx 6-1/2″ t. Base approx 4-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling.
