The high back formed by three sets of large matching horns supported by a number of large and smaller horns. Full arms with horn supports. The large seat is supported by four horns and six horn supports between legs. Matching footstool has four legs supported by two horns each in square form. As fine an example that we have ever seen. MAGNIFICENT BIRDSEYE MAPLE AND WALNUT TALL POST BED. Headboard has finely turned and block posts supporting a gothic style three-arch headboard with inset panels. Completely done in birdseye maple with central applied walnut rose. Applied walnut carved and molded edges in the form of scroll and flowers. Headboard suspends on side latches on posts. Footboard has similar turned posts but half size with plain footboard. Original side rails, which have been converted from rope and extended. SIZE: Length of rail is 78-3/4”.
