DUFFNER & KIMBERLY PEACOCK TABLE LAMP. Intricately design, fully leaded shade depicts peacock feathers with eyes in full plumage. Colors used in these feathers are deep blues and purples. Some of the glass is heavily textured while other pieces are more plain and simple. The eyes of the feathers have an outline of yellow glass which encircles green glass and ends with deep purple as the eyes. All of this is set on a heavily textured ground in colors of green and amber. This conical shade is finished with an irregular border. Representing the epitome of the art nouveau period, this shade flows from one color to another beautifully. Shade is supported by an original Duffner & Kimberly four socket base with vertical ribbing extending down to the circular foot. The vertical ribbing is reminiscent of feathers and complements the shade perfectly. Base is completed with four acorn pull chains, sockets, a heart pierced bell housing, matching top cap and finial. The entire lamp carries a desirable patina finish. This lamp may be further referenced in the book Mosaic Shades Vol. II by Paul Crist, page 183. WILKINSON LEADED TABLE LAMP. Shade begins with striated green glass at top and shoulder of shade. The predominant pattern is of dogwood flowers in pastel hues in various stages of bloom. Behind the flowers earthen hued glass was used to create the foliage. Shade ends with an irregular scalloped border. Shade is supported by an ornate art nouveau style of base having acanthus leaf decoration at the platform foot and extending three quarters the way up the stem. Base is complete with three sockets, acorn pulls and finial. The lamp carries a desirable deep green patina. AMERICAN LEADED TABLE LAMP. Attributed to Goodwin & Kintz, this domical leaded shade has a predominantly green geometric background with windswept art nouveau tulips at lower irregular border. Glass used in the tulips is heavily striated pinks, purples and yellows. A heat cap is permanently affixed to the shade. Supporting the shade is a massive bronzed base with two sockets, two acorn pulls and finial. Similar example of this shade is pictured in the book Mosaic Shades Vol. II by Paul Crist, page 283. One of the most desirable and expensive of all the Handel leaded lamps and one of the more desirable and more expensive Tiffany leaded lamps produced is the magnificent wisteria. This beautiful and massive leaded shade depicts a recurring design of 12 wisteria flowers in shades of purple, lavender, amethyst and blue with yellow centers, set against foliage in a multitude of green hues. Hanging wisteria vines are constructed in earthen hues and the accentuated irregular border gives the shade a true three dimensional affect. The shade is fitted to a five socket base decorated with simple overlapping petal design. The sockets each controlled by five acorn pulls; the top cap and finial are pierced. RARE SPECIAL ORDER FRENCH PRESENTATION CAMEO GLASS WATER PITCHER FOR THE YACHT CECELLE. This unique special order massive cameo pitcher was made for the commissioning of the yacht Cecelle. The bulbous shaped pitcher with cased ruby glass cut to the clear frosted base. The workmanship and design on this pitcher is extraordinary and depicts a busy marine scene which encompasses the entire body of the pitcher. The detail of the work is extraordinary and features on the front a very large image of the ship Cecelle, a steam powered yacht flying its various flags. In the harbor around it are various square masted sailing ships, most of which are in full sail with a detailed sunrise on the horizon. The frosted sky is filled with numerous seagulls and the water on which the ships ride is cut in incredible detail depicting turbulent waves. The underside of the pitcher has a large polished pontil and the handle of the pitcher is of applied clear glass. Much is known about the history of the ship Cecelle, it is not known who did the extraordinary French cameo work, however we do know that it was done in the year 1901-1902 as we know the yacht was christened with the name Cecelle and prior to that it carried another name and we know that the name was later changed in 1904. This yacht made in 1889 and was originally named the Excelsior. Its name was named to Cecelle in 1901 or 1902 and later in 1904 changed to Jeane. (We assume that change in names was a result of change in ownership of the yacht, not a change in wives?).Lloyds Register of British and Foreign Yachts lists the Cecelle as originally being made in 1889 in Rouen France by J. LeClerc, it was originally a 26 ton vessel and was listed as belonging to Paul Barbou in Rouen France in 1901-02. This is truly a unique commission piece and we can find no other example of such a commission piece. UNIQUE ART GLASS & METAL CO. LEADED TABLE LAMP. Representing the epitome of the art nouveau period the shade has a design of tulips shooting upward from the irregular border with other blossoms showering downward. These tulips are comprised of highly textured glass in shades of yellow, apricot and ivory having windswept foliage in deeper amber and purple hues. This outrageous pattern is set against a wavy geometric background. Background glass is flat, yet striated which plays against the tulips perfectly. Shade is supported by a three socket base with a handsome bronzed patina having four applied bouquets of flowers at top of saucer foot. Base is complete with top cap and finial. MULLER FRES FRENCH CAMEO GLASS PLAFFONIER. Large chandelier has a yellow mottled and frosted ground decorated with outrageously detailed roses in full bloom in red, deep burgundy foliage and thorny stems. Acid cut-back work on this shade is spectacular and while this is a popular pattern in Muller, this is the first time we have seen it on a hanging lamp. Shade is supported by original hardware depicting roses, foliage and the thorny stems once again in the metalwork. Plaffonier is complete with matching ceiling cap. LEADED GLASS PORTRAIT WINDOW. Wonderful leaded glass window has center circle with hand painted portrait of Beethoven. Portrait is finely detailed and wonderfully executed. Portrait is surrounded by a wreath of leaded leaves done in heavily rippled glass of greens and browns. Window is bordered with a row of light blue glass which is in turn bordered by a narrow row of mauve glass. Window is housed in what appears to be its original wooden frame. SIZE: 42-1/2″ x 22-1/2″. LEADED CHUNK JEWEL WINDOW. Outstanding leaded glass window features geometric design with blue and yellow striated background with a pattern of rich amber rippled glass further enhanced by heavy amber chunk jewels. The pattern is bordered by a row of red oval cabochon jewels which are plated on the backside with heavy white rippled glass giving the jewels a warm rich glow when lit. The cabochon border is in turn bordered by a narrow band of amber and cream striated glass and a slightly wider border of brown and cream striated and rippled glass. TIFFANY SCENIC WINDOW. Exceptional Tiffany scenic window depicts pine trees along a rushing river with mountains in the background and stormy skies above. TIFFANY WINDOW CARTOON. Exceptional Tiffany window cartoon was for the memorial window for 1st Presbyterian Church in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. The study is beautifully rendered in watercolor with red poppies, a broken wagon, low clouds in the sky with sun breaking through. Beneath the window is inscribed “They have fought a good fight”. Notations are made around the painting and the painting is signed in the lower right hand corner where the matting is marked “Approved” and signed “Louis C. Tiffany”. Cartoon is housed in a contemporary gold gilt frame with raspberry colored matte. SIZE: Original matte is 12-1/2″ w x 21-1/2″. Overall is 18-3/4″ x 27-3/4″. TIFFANY STUDIOS ARROWROOT TABLE LAMP. Artistically rendering the life-cycle of the tapioca-bearing Arrowroot plant, this shade’s focal band is comprised of spring green glass panels, mottled with darker green and white and shaped together as a stylistic rendering of the root formation. Between and below each root are brilliant white flowers with yellow centers; the flower of the arrowroot plant. Finishing the shade are geometric bands to top and bottom rims and when the glass is properly illuminated, the shade virtually dances with the life it depicts. Shade is supported by a rare cattail design base with wide lily pad foot and cattails surrounding the body. Base supports a shade ring as well as a three socket cluster. This mirror is held in place by a circular bronze frame that ends in two supporting arms having a peacock decorated stand which consists of six peacock feathers in bronze with high and low relief representing the texture of the feathers and is finished with six tiled glass iridescent center eyes. The eyes are comprised of iridescent gold, medium green and bright blue tiles of glass. The mirror is set in a bronze holder which on the reverse side is decorated with windswept peacock feathers. Incredible desk set begins with a rare double pen holder that includes two original pens, magnifying glass, bookends, rare rectangular shaped picture frame, postage scale, letter rack, calendar frame, pen tray, memo pad, stamp box, large inkwell with rare favrile glass insert, pen wipe, note clip, rocker blotter, blotter ends and two letter knives. All pieces are properly signed “Tiffany Studios” and numbered. Each piece is decorated with an Art Deco grape design using abalone as the inserts. Each piece is finished in a gold dore finish. SIZE: Varies. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent with picture frame having more loss to gold dore then remaining pieces. TIFFANY STUDIOS TULIP TABLE LAMP. This lamp, commonly referred to as the Sunset Tulip, begins with a heavily striated background glass in various shades of green with hints of rum with deeper mottled green representing the foliage. The flowers are represented from bud stage to full maturity. The colors used in the tulips are primarily yellows, oranges, periwinkle and mauve. The glass used in the floral pattern goes from striated panels to fibrillated glass. While the colors blend well together there is a certain amount of contrast that gives the shade a three dimensional quality. Supporting the shade is a large bronze three arm teardrop shaped base with cat’s paw feet on a circular foot. Base is finished with three sockets and carries a desirable green, brown and red mottled patina finish. This lamp is also a dash number which is widely believed to have been a superior example by the studios. TIFFANY STUDIOS CURTAIN BORDER FLOOR LAMP. This curtain border design is one of the most popular patterns ever created by Tiffany Studios and was one of the first designs and transcended through all the production years of Tiffany. This handsome shade begins with heavily striated green panels of glass in a vertical feather design. There is a single geometric row of translucent green and amber striated glass just above the vertical rectangular panels of heavily rippled glass in various shades of yellow and rum. Shade is supported by a senior decorated floor base with six swan head sockets. Supporting the shade are three arms that end with a shell design set above a ribbed floor stem that ends in a decorated padded platform base with four feet. The base carries a highly desirable original patina finish. The lamp is completed with a pigtail top cap with matching patina finish. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1515-17”. RARE TIFFANY STUDIOS TABLE LANTERN. Lantern is made of bronze and favrile glass with the bronze work having intricate detailing from top to bottom including the turn switch. TIFFANY STUDIOS SPIDER LAMP. Shade begins with a highly unusual color combination of deep teal colored glass gently receding to aqua and then a lighter bluish-green color. Outside is decorated with six bronze “legs” which represents the body of the spider with the panels of glass representing the web. Shade is finished with a dark patina finish. The shade is supported by a Tiffany Furnaces base having a gold dore finish with enameling that complements the coloration of the shade. Base is finished with two sockets and a spider top cap. With this lamp, Tiffany Studios ventured from its first foray of geometric lamps into curving the panels of glass which was a huge step forward. TIFFANY STUDIOS ARROWROOT TABLE LAMP. Artistically rendering the life-cycle of the tapioca-bearing Arrowroot plant, this shade’s focal band is comprised of spring green glass panels, striated and mottled with darker green and white and is shaped together to represent the stylistic rendering of the root formation. The design is bordered at upper and lower rims by bands of green and brown diamond shaped tiles that encircle the shade which represent the soil. Between and below each root are brilliant white flowers with yellow centers; the flower of the arrowroot plant. Finishing the shade are geometric bands to top and bottom rims. Geometric band at top is heavily mottled in a sunset hue glass that radiates down into the top of the arrowroot flowers. Shade is supported by bronze base that carries a handsome green-brown patina finish and is commonly referred to as an inverted trumpet. This example is highly decorated from its round platform foot up the stem. Base is complete with three sockets, riser, wheel and pierced top cap. Shade is signed “Tiffany New York”. TIFFANY STUDIOS BLACK EYED SUSAN TABLE LAMP. Green, white, and yellow striated brick background is decorated with an all over pattern of black eyed Susan flowers in various stages of bloom. The petals are comprised of various shades of yellow and butterscotch-colored glass with each flower having a rippled rum-colored eye. Stems in a flowing Art Nouveau design complete the shade. The shade is supported by a three-socket standard Art Nouveau base which carries a desirable green-brown patina finish and is complete with pierced top cap. TIFFANY STUDIOS PARASOL TABLE LAMP. Gently curved large geometric shade has rectangular pieces of glass in green which are heavily striated and run the gamut from soft to deep spring green. Shade is truly reminiscent of a parasol with its small aperture with teeny tiny rectangular shapes of glass which gently get larger as the pieces graduate to lower rim. Shade is supported by a bronze decorated six socket base with single stem which leads to a nicely decorated circular foot. This base ends with a turn switch at bottom and is complete with the parasol top cap. Entire lamp carries a desirable dark patina finish. This lamp may be further referenced in the book The Lamps of Tiffany by Dr. Egon Neustadt, page 60, plate 80 where it is pictured in an original photograph from Tiffany Studios. TIFFANY STUDIOS COLONIAL TABLE LAMP. Consisting of various sized geometric panels, this lamp is comprised of all vibrant lemon yellow striated glass with touches of white and butterscotch. Shade is supported by a conventional Colonial base that has a statuary finish and is complete with three sockets, riser, wheel and pierced top cap. The Colonial lamp was one of the earliest lamps created by Tiffany Studios when they ventured into the electric lamp business. This example appears to be very early. TIFFANY PENDANT LAMP. Wonderful Tiffany hanging pendant lamp features beautiful green shade with rolled lip and vertical coloration lines with light iridescence showing flashes of green and purple. TIFFANY STUDIOS DAFFODIL TABLE LAMP. Rare domical leaded shade is decorated with an allover daffodil pattern. The floral blooms have heavily mottled petals in warm yellow. There are also textured pieces of glass in the same flowers which give the blossoms a three dimensional appearance. Blossoms are backed by extremely long stems of variegated green glass. While an even softer green glass with white and blue striations depict the background. Shade is supported by a single socket three armed bronze base with a vertically ribbed inverted saucer foot. Lamp carries a desirable brown patina finish with hints of green. Lamp is finished with a rolled under pierced cap with matching patina finish. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 142-13”. TWO TIFFANY STUDIOS ARABIAN LAMP BASES WITH MESH SHADES. Pair of art glass lamp bases in the Arabian design begin with black shading to blue ground accented with a platinum snakeskin design leading to an inverted saucer foot. Each lamp base is finished with a bulbous stem having pulled prunts of glass and complementary design. Bases are complete with a single socket and pull chain. Each are signed “LC Tiffany Inc Favrile”. Accompanying the bases are two mesh shades with enameled floral design. SIZE: Bases are 10″ t. Shades are 3-1/2″ t x 5″ w. ELEVEN IRIDESCENT PRISMS. In the manner of Tiffany Studios these iridescent prisms are properly cut back at the top with each having a hole for hanging. EIGHT DECORATED IRIDESCENT PRISMS. Beautiful prisms are each decorated with seven beads of glass. The colors vary from a soft aqua iridescent finish to deep green. SEVEN IRIDESCENT TURTLEBACK PENDANTS. Six teardrop shaped turtleback pendants are made of deep green glass with deep cobalt blue and platinum iridescent finish. ART NOUVEAU DIMINUTIVE FIGURAL LAMP BASE. Austrian influenced hammered metal base has three mythological dolphin-type figures with wings. These figures surround a small bowl where a shade would sit. RARE AMBERINA CUT GLASS TANKARD. Amberina glass cut in a daisy and button pattern with applied amberina cut handle. Tankard pitcher form with a star cut base and scalloped rim. SIZE: 12″ t. LITHOPANE FAIRY LAMP. Ruf-Fig.466. This two-part fairy lamp consists of porcelain base and top with molded design and gilt highlights. The top has two shaped lithopane panels depicting what is known as “Little Miss Muffett”. There are four notched air vents at the bottom of the rim and the shade rests in a low, saucer-type base with a built in candle holder. SIZE: 4-1/2” t. A RARE MATCHED PAIR OF RASPBERRY MOP SATIN DIAMOND POINT MINI LAMPS (PROBABLY WEBB). This exquisite pair of matched lamps were very likely produced by the Webb firm. Each burner is marked, “The Silber Light Comp” (this was a London firm). Bases are squat, ovoid fonts fitted with delicate, frosted out-curling feet and in a lovely, raspberry, mother-of-pearl diamond point design. Each of the matching shades are cased and shades from deep raspberry at the top to very light, faint raspberry at the base. They are complete with their original chimneys and the pair come from a single, New England estate. SIZE: 7-1/2” t (not incl. chimney). RARE PORCELAIN FIGURAL INDIAN HEAD MINI LAMP. This is an unlisted form but it’s a well-known fact that one of the rarest and more desirable (if not most desirable) mini lamps of all is the satin Indian chief bust mini lamp–only a few of those are known to exist. While this is not the extraordinarily rare satin variation, it is indeed rare and the subject matter is most appealing. It consists of a bust of an Indian (perhaps originally from San Francisco, note the flowers in his hair), decorated in shades of tan, black, pink and light green. On the underside are incised the numbers “4234”. It is fitted with a foreign burner. SIZE: 4-1/2” to top of collar. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-62610 (1,500-2,500)

SCARCE AMBERINA MINIATURE LAMP. S1-536. This scarce Amberina mini lamp features strong colors with the strong ruby shading at the top with amber at the bottom on both the shade and the base. Please Note: In the photograph that the shade appears lighter than the base, in actuality, the shade, being thin has light passing through it whereas the base because of the case glass aspect and because it’s all enclosed and thus not allowing the light to pass through, it takes on a darker appearance. CLAY & WOODEN OIL LAMP. Very interesting oil lamp has what appears to be a clay foot and font with turned wooden stem. When I first looked at this, I thought it was most likely a form for creating a mold for oil lamps; however the font is hollowed and lined with metal, the brass collar is affixed and the lamp is complete with burner. THREE OIL LAMPS. 1) White cut to cranberry font is cut with patterns of stars and oval. Cut overlay font rests atop a clambroth foot and pedestal with vertical ribbing and gilt trim. 2) Cranberry cut to clear font rests atop a vertically ribbed metal stem with black marble foot. 3) Lovely amethyst glass whale oil lamp has impressed pattern font atop a six sided foot and stem. RARE PAIR OF ANTIQUE ART POTTERY FRENCH MODERATOR LAMPS. These wonderful early lamps in this condition are a great rarity. The outstanding art pottery bases resemble early Rookwood with mottled blue background and lovely hand painted enamel floral sprays. Sides have molded handles near the neck, base is fitted with heavy brass gold dore finish feet. The original antique frosted ball shades with cut floral design. The lamp burners are signed in script “Gagneau”. Brass burners are original, working and were never electrified. Underside of the base marked “Gagneau 115 Rue Lafayette”. Moderator lamps were invented in 1836 complete, unaltered working examples such as these are extremely rare as they were only made for a short period of time. They became obsolete in 1847 when the kerosene distillation process was discovered and kerosene lamps then replaced them. True moderator lamps were fueled with pressed olive oil. ANTIQUE FRENCH MODERATOR LAMP. Rare French porcelain moderator lamp with rare original chimney. Porcelain base with bulbous blown out lower portion and narrow constricted neck on upper portion. Having two colorful vignettes on the base; a young Georgian lass on one side and lassie on the reverse. Gilt highlight retains old moderator burner, all mounted on a brass metal base. ANTIQUE CAMEO GLASS VICTORIAN LAMP. Possibly Mt. Washington. This large beautiful period cameo lamp features a yellow background with white design which includes winged griffins and flowers. Base consists of an elaborate white molded white metal four legged pedestal. It is fitted with its original brass oil font and lamp has its original clear glass molded chimney and a replaced white milk glass ball shade. RARE LIBBEY GLASS ADVERTISING POSTER MADE FOR THE WORLD’S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION. This colorful paper advertising poster titled in a banner below “Libbey Glass Co’s Factory in Full Operation at World’s Columbian Exposition”. Image depicts in full color the actual Libbey building as it appeared at the exposition replete with flags, banners and Libbey banner. The image was complements of Marshall Chemical Co. of Marshall, Virginia and their firm is also advertised on the poster named “Blue Ridge”. These printed posters were apparently distributed by Blue Ridge and used as a promotion. Three of these posters were discovered in 2003 in an old closed out store. The two previous ones were sold at our previous auctions; this is the last of the three. SIZE: Approx. 21” x 29”. CONDITION: Generally good with various imperfections. The print itself shows various roll creases, the outside edge of border shows remnants of tape at one time and the bottom third has a serious crease that goes the entire length of the picture and there was a tear (and loss of paper) approx. 4” in from the right side and a couple of inches in from the left side. There is also a small loss of paper at the bottom and in the very top right corner. Color is reasonably strong for this rare image. 5-62266 (400-800)

HOLLY AMBER TUMBLER. Nice example of holly amber has alternating vertical panels of impressed holly branches and raised opalescent panels. The foot and each panel are bordered with opalescent beads. BACCARAT TOOTHPICK LID. Nice piece of Baccarat features frosted figures of young girls holding a barrel on their backs atop of a clear glass dome with beaded border. It is our belief that this was the lid to a sugar bowl designed to hold toothpicks. Signed on the inside of the lid with raised block letters “Baccarat”. SIZE: 4″ t. TIFFANY & COMPANY PRESENTATION DRAWING. Outstanding Tiffany & Co. pencil and gouache drawing was a plan for a presentation bowl presented to the Honorable John Lee Carroll by the General Society Sons of the Revolution, April 19, 1902. Drawing shows the design of the bowl as well as portraits to be engraved along with the seal of the Sons of the Revolution. Drawing is done on paper with notations and signed by the artist and also stamped in lower left corner with Tiffany & Co. Rights stamp. Housed in a contemporary black wooden frame with black matte. OUTSTANDING FRENCH HALLMARKED SOLID SILVER REPOSSE BOWL. This highly decorative 19th Century footed bowl depicts a scene with maids and satyrs together with crowned figure with musical instruments and a wooded surrounding. All figures are in high relief and all are nude. The border of the bowl with blown out flowers of various types. Handles are in the form of shells and the top of the bowl with a print design. Underside of bowl is fitted with large ball shaped feet. Piece is hallmarked (has not been researched) and includes with a series of four hallmarks; one with an “N”, the second is difficult to discern but possibly an “E”, third a cock rooster and the fourth a French fleur de lis. HALLMARKED SILVER NERF. This rare silver Nerf, depicting a ship in full sail with figures aboard, mounted on a twisted wire base. SILVER FILIGREE MIRROR. Very nice vanity mirror has sterling silver floral openwork filigree set atop a red velvet backing surrounding a beveled glass mirror. Back of the mirror is covered in maroon leatherette. Silver has a center panel at the top with an engraved fox head with a banner underneath reading “Age Quod Agis” which roughly translates “to the business at hand”. SIZE: 15-3/4″ t. LOT OF TWO SILVER-MOUNTED BRUSHES AND COMB. The first brush in ivory with initials “M.C.S.” set in a repose sterling frame with relief lily of the valley in unmarked silver. The second brush housed in its original case is oval in shape mounted in silver with a mint green enameled top. A matched comb also fitted in the case in what appears to be tortoise shell or a copy thereof and set in hallmarked English sterling silver holder. SIZE: 7-1/2” (ivory brush); 3-1/4” (enamel brush). SCARCE DRESDEN PORCELAIN WALL SHELF. This beautiful three-tiered wall shelf has columns of molded and painted Dresden porcelain. Each column has an abundance of exquisite relief flowers, fruits and insects all over painted in pastel colors. The three shelves are of ebony wood with the back of the shelf being mirrored. NEWCOMB COLLEGE ART POTTERY VASE. Highly unusual red to purple glaze on an elongated inverted trumpet-shaped vase is decorated with an Arts and Crafts stylized flower pattern. Signed “M”, with typical “NC” monogram. Also has a “B” inside of a circle, the initials “CL” for Cynthia Littlejohn, 1912 and also has the mark “FN41”. SIZE: 10-1/2″ t.
