PAIR OF HIGH CONDITION BELGIAN PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOLS WITH CASE AND ACCESSORIES.

NSN. Cal. 45. Rifled with 10 grooves. 10″ Octagon bbls of deeply etched Bernard twist pattern are numbered “1” and “2” on breech irons, with integral V-notch sights. Island bar locks have serpentine hammers and plain European walnut stocks with deeply fluted and carved butts, are iron mounted. Trigger guards have finger spurs, and butt caps have turned finials. Locks and furniture are engraved with large open scroll. Bbls attach to stocks with typical sliding bolts. Pistols are housed in their orig mahogany case lined in purple velvet, and contain a large number of old, most likely orig, accessories, including a copper bodied bag flask, steel ball mold, lead pouring ladle with removable turned walnut handle, combination turnscrew and nipple wrench, cap box, and cleaning/ loading rod. A covered compartment holds a number of old lead balls and bullets. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining nearly all of their wood finish, as well as orig french gray on metal parts, but with some considerable browning and discoloration, mostly at grips. Case is very fine with some added oil. Central medallion is missing on top. Interior cloth is very good with considerable staining, compressions and marks from contact with guns and accessories, which are fine. 51760-4 MGM175 (3,000-5,000) – Lot 1295

SN 132842. Cal. 12 x 12 x 30-30 Winchester. 28″ Steel bbls marked “J. P. Saur & Son” have full length rib. Case hardened sidelock action with rifle cocking lever on left side, is marked “Charles Daly” on each lockplate. Top tang is fitted with flip-up rear sight which folds bisecting safety button. Nicely figured stock is fitted with orig horn buttplate and is checkered at wrist. Splinter forend has Deeley release. CONDITION: Excellent, as partially refinished. Bbls retain nearly all of a re-black. Action and locks have approx 80% orig color. Stocks refinished with a few light marks and dings. Shotgun bores are very fine with some scattered pitting. FINE ANTIQUE SIDE LOCK DRILLING BY J.P. SAUER & SOHN.

SN 52015. Cal. 12 ga/9.3x74R. 30″ fine Damascus bbls marked Dreilaeufer-System, side lock action engraved in bouquet and scroll pattern with cocking indicators for shotgun and rifle. Wonderful flip up tang sight integral with safety. Side lever cocking piece for rifle. Dark European walnut stocks with multi point checkering, Deely forend latch, horn grip cap and replacement solid red recoil pad. CONDITION: Good. Bbls retain most of their brown Damascus pattern with scattered light to moderate pitting throughout, several small dents and dings. Case colored action and trigger guard have faded and turned to silver with some light oxidation. Wood finish has been refreshed likely at time of new pad installation. Mechanics crisp, shotgun bore is bright, rifle bore with light scattered pitting. 51593-2 (1,000-2,000) – Lot 2303
