FIGURAL CUP AND SAUCER. The beautiful cup and saucer are done in white porcelain with gold trim. The cup is decorated with a beautiful figural handle of a winged goddess. On each side of the goddess are square panels with relief decoration, one with a toga-clad muscular man with his hand on a horse’s neck, while the other is a toga-clad muscular man with a large club and his hand on a lion’s head. The center panel is decorated with gold gilt figures of an ancient Greek man and two women. Cup and saucer are each marked on the bottom with a blue spread eagle and “R.P.M.” SIZE: 4-3/4″ h. PORTRAIT CUP & SAUCER. Magnificent cup and saucer are decorated with a portrait of a woman on the front of the cup showing her in profile looking to the sky with one arm raised to her head. TWO CUT OVERLAY LAMP BASES. Lot consists of two cut overlay lamp bases, the first being white cut to clear with ovals cut on top and bottom of font with small ovals cut on raised shoulder band. The cut font is mounted on a stamped metal foot and is finished with a brass and ceramic single burner with chain-attached snuffer. The second is a triple overlay lamp, blue cut to white cut to clear, with ovals and circles around the font with bands at the base and ovals encircling the foot. Lamp is finished with a brass collar and burner. SIZE: 8″ h. and 6″ h. CONDITION: One small chip on the raised shoulder band on white overlay lamp. TWO EARLY LIGHTING DEVICES. Interesting lot of two early lighting devices consists of: 1) One birdcage candlestick base. The base originally had a candle holder that slid up and down on the vertical wire teeth. The candle holder is no longer with the base. 2) Alpine candle holder with spring-loaded mechanism which will adjust to hold various sized candles. The hand-forged metal holder is mounted on a wooden block and is fitted with a forged iron hook on the back. SIZE: Birdcage 7″ h. Alpine 9″ h. THREE EARLY LANTERNS. Lot consists of three early lanterns, the first has cylindrical body and double fluted cone top vent with folding wire handles and mounting clip. The lantern has remnants of coppery-brown finish and is fitted with a heavy bullseye lens. The second is a tin tole-painted candle lantern with copper painted background and gold scroll trim. The lantern has mica windows on two sides. The third is a tin finger lantern with green paint and red glass lens. Lantern has flip-up lens cover. SIZE: From 5-1/4″ h. to 7-1/2″ h. Ufford, Boston”. 2) Tin finger lamp with round saucer foot and teardrop-shaped reservoir with wide wick and tin handle. 3) Tin lamp with square base supported by three cast metal paw feet. EARLY COMBINATION RUSH LIGHT. Very nice hand-forged counterbalance rush light has nice twisted decoration on counterbalance angle leading to candle holder at end of counterbalance. TWO EARLY LANTERNS. Wonderful lot consists of two early tin lanterns, the first having a square body with glass on all four sides and a curved wire cage protecting the glass. The top of the lantern is vented with triangular cutouts and decorated with a raised pine bough decoration. Lantern is finished with a round tin handle. The second is a tin skater’s lantern with star and diamond cutouts around base and top of lantern. The lantern is finished with a round tin handle and houses a tin font with double-tube burner. TWO WHALE OIL LAMPS. Lot consists of two interesting whale oil lamps. The first is done in brass with relief decoration of raised hearts around the shoulder with a band around the body with central cartouche and stylized dolphins. The foot is decorated with raised stylized leaves. The hinged top opens to reveal a small single-tube burner. The second is a nice clear glass peg lamp with vertically ribbed body, pewter collar and burner plate, double brass tubes, and pewter snuffers. The peg lamp rests in a brass candle holder with ornate cast feet and finger loop and stamped brass candle cup. SIZE: Each 6-1/2″ h. TWO IRON LIGHT STICKS. Lot consists of two iron light sticks, the first is a forged iron candle holder with spike end and curved hook in the middle, supporting a spring-action candle holder. The second is a hand-forged splint or rush light stick with spring-loaded action to hold the fuel in place and forged pointed end. SIZE: 10″ l. and 13″ l. CONDITION: Overall very good. THREE GLASS DISPLAY DOMES. Very nice lot consists of three glass display domes with wooden platforms. The small and large domes are round and the medium dome is oval with an egg-shaped top. HAMILTON POCKET WATCH. Nice Hamilton twenty-one jewel pocket watch has double roller movement adjusted to five positions. Serial number on the movement is 2436328, which would show the movement being produced in 1930. Movement is housed in a Wadsworth 10-carat gold-filled case with plain back and impressed loop decoration around the edge. The white face has black Arabic numerals and gun metal hands with an inset second hand. The watch is finished with a short gold-filled chain with a gold-filled gentleman’s pocketknife at the end. COLD PAINTED BRONZE PEN BRUSH. Wonderful pen brush is cast bronze in the form of a crouching eagle with spread wings. The feathers on the eagle are nicely detailed and painted in shades of brown, while eagle’s beak and feet are highlighted in yellow, and its mouth is red. KAYSERZINN PEWTER DISH. Nice art nouveau Kayserzinn oval dish is decorated with relief design of thistle flowers with a bumblebee flying above one flower. ENGRAVED GLASS AND ENAMEL SCENT BOTTLE. Lovely clear glass scent bottle has cut and engraved decoration of flower garlands looping around the body of the vase. The bulbous lower section of the body is decorated with cut glass ovals. The bottle is finished with a sterling silver collar and cap. The cap has a medallion of bright pink enamel with engine-turned design, which is in turn outlined with two white enamel bands. The scent bottle retains its original clear dauber stopper. BACCARAT GUERLAIN SCENT BOTTLE. Nice clear Baccarat scent bottle made for Guerlain features a rolled shoulder and rectangular body and is topped with an inverted heart ground stopper. TWO WEBB CAMEO SCENT BOTTLES. Outstanding Webb scent bottles are similar in design but not identically matched. One has white cameo decoration of hydrangeas on one side and a rose on the opposing side. The other two sides of the scent bottle are decorated with foliage and a flying insect. The second bottle has a white cameo rose on one side and delicate white flowers on the opposing side with connecting sides featuring a cameo butterfly on one and a bumble bee and butterfly on the other. Exceptional large Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre malfrey pot is decorated in the Candlemas pattern with six panels, each decorated with a white candle extending upward from a blue and green coiling dragon. Each panel has a midnight background and is highlighted with gold gilt details. Each panel is separated by a light blue vertical border decorated with black fairies trimmed in gold hanging from a vine. The domed lid has a center midnight lustre medallion with spiderweb and center spider and green, purple and mauve flowers with gold highlights. The light blue background gives way to a midnight lustre flame border. Interior of the lid is further decorated with a green medallion having center large spider all against a mother of pearl background. The malfrey pot is finished with a wonderful bright lustre glaze. Outstanding Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre malfrey pot is decorated in the Bubbles II pattern with floating bubbles decorating the entire exterior of the vase against a rich midnight blue background. Interspersed between the floating bubbles are standing and kneeling purple fairies with gold outline. The exterior is further decorated with bright green grass, trees and foliage giving a wonderful contrast. Interior of the bowl has a light blue pearlescent finish with a center medallion having a fish border. The matching dome lid is decorated with a center large spider and web surrounded by a green floral border with black fairies which gives way to a bronze border trim with gold gilt decoration. Wonderful Fairyland Daventry bowl is decorated in the Nizami pattern with a center medallion showing three male figures on a platform looking towards a male figure on horseback at lower right. The interior of the bowl is bordered on sides and rim with blue animals and foliage against a white background with gold detailing. The exterior of the bowl is brightly decorated in orange, yellow, blue and mauve floral patterns with gold detail. This is the largest example of Nizami that we have ever offered. The other two sides are decorated with a side view of the castle showing an arched stairway in the middle with figures at the top framed by tall slender trees with brown, violet, and red trunks, green leaves, and gold highlights. Rare iridized Selenium red lamp base has gold pulled feather decoration at the shoulder and is mounted in a cast bronze foot with vertically ribbed riser and two socket cluster. The rare Selenium red body has an iridized finish with flashes of gold, purple and blue and shows rich Selenium red color when back lit.
