Burgun & Schverer cabinet vase has heavy cameo decoration of wheel-carved green leaves and pink and white wheel-carved flowers all set against a light green background with random bands of red. Vase is further decorated with cameo and gilded stylized sunbursts and random martele sections. Vase is finished with a cameo icicle band descending from the lip. Galle vase has floral cameo decoration in browns, purple and white surrounding the body of the vase. Acid cut decoration is set against an amber background with subtle flowing bands of white giving the background a tortoise shell appearance. EARLY GALLE ENAMELED HONEYCOMB VASE.

Early Galle vase is done in shaded amber glass with a cylindrical body ending in a honeycomb shaped lip. Vase is decorated with random patches of cameo honeycomb design, and is further decorated with heavily enameled stems, flowers and leaves ascending from the foot with enameled honey bees flying around the flowers. Several of the individual honeycombs are also enameled in lightly mottled colors. Signed on the underside with polished and lightly gilded signature “Emile Galle” framed within honeycombs. HARVEY LITTLETON ART GLASS SCULPTURE “SYMPATHETIC MOVEMENT”.

An early Harvey Littleton art glass sculpture having bent forms possibly using calcedonia in the glass. Made in the early glass movement in 1968, 3 bent forms gracefully cascade in a typical Littleton form. Signed “H.K. Littleton 1968.” Signed at base in script “Sympathetic Movement”. The design is adhered to a smoky plate glass with a transparent blue base. This exact piece is pictured on the dust cover as well as Plate 32 between pages 80 and 81 in the book Contemporary Glass by Ray & Lee Grover. SIZE: 8″ h x 6″ w x 6″ d. LARGE GALLE MARQUETRY IRIS VASE.

Galle vase has an opaque green glass applied pedestal foot. Vase is internally decorated with orange flame shaped swirls rising from the applied foot and shading to green swirls climbing to the irregular lip all against a creamy light green background. Vase is further decorated with marquetry blue, white and green irises and stems with light amber colored buds, each of the flowers is intricately wheel-carved creating wonderful detail. Back of vase is also decorated with blue, white and green marquetry flower which is also intricately carved. Green pedestal foot is also decorated with swirling bands of martele carving. Signed on side with engraved oriental signature “Galle”. Vase comes complete with its original presentation box with satin lining and leatherette exterior. SIZE: Vase 14-1/2″ t. LARGE GALLE MARQUETRY BUTTERFLY VASE.

Large Galle vase is internally decorated with a band of mottled amber surrounding the foot giving way to clear with tiny controlled bubbles which in turn gives way to an irregular band of purple at the top. Vase is further decorated with 2 stylized marquetry butterflies 1 red and white and 1 a wispy pastel peach, butterflies bodies, eyes and feelers are delicately wheel-carved as are the swirled lines behind the butterflies depicting wind carrying them. There is a third purple free form marquetry inlay on the side of the vase near the foot which is not carved. Signed on the front below the red butterfly with engraved signature “Galle”. Large Loetz vase in the rare PG/691 genre is decorated with platinum iridescent drag loop descending from the ruffled lip giving way to a rust colored pattern of drips descending towards the foot with random lines in areas of platinum iridescence. Decoration is completed with a platinum iridescent zipper design ascending from the foot all against a yellow background. This is an exhibition quality decor attributed to Franz Hofstoetter 1900. Slender transparent green stem has subtle pulled feather lines and leads to green pulled feathers surrounding the bowl. Bowl has white opalescence at bottom and top and a center band of gold translucent iridescence showing nice red highlights. Signed on underside “L.C.T. Y481”. This newly discovered vase consigned from Pennsylvania was a wedding present to our consignor’s grandparents in the 1920s. MONUMENTAL AMPHORA 1900 PARIS EXPOSITION VASE.

Monumental Amphora vase depicts art nouveau maiden leaning on side of vase reaching for flower that dangles from lip of vase. Neck of vase is decorated with 3 art nouveau maidens faces with hair flowing down side of neck. Bulbous body of vase has rood design encircling body. Maidens gown flows down back of vase onto oval pedestal foot. Signed on front of vase with artist initials “E.S.T” for Eduard Stellmacher. Vase is finished in shaded blue and green glaze with gilt highlights. A similar example is pictured in book Monsters and Maidens by Byron Vreeland, pg 158. We are told that this won a gold medal at the 1900 Paris Exposition. Signed on underside “Amphora Austria”, “Turn”, “Paris 1900 RSTK”. SIZE: 23-3/4″ t. Monumental Le Verre Francais vase in Libellules pattern has stylized dragonflies with mottled green shading to mottled orange glass. Stylized leaves of grass rise from the bottom of the vase, every other leaf has a mottled free form band of violet. Neck is decorated with a band of cameo honeycomb design.
