Seldom found, this art glass shade starts off with a clear glass form and bulbs out to the end where it is decorated with a green pulled feather pattern with gold trim on an ivory ground. DURAND THREADED CANDLESTICK LAMP. Very pretty candlestick lamp begins with an art glass shade decorated with a pulled feather pattern and applied threading. Shade has a brilliant gold background with the pulled feather decoration being white with green trim. Applied glass threading as well as interior of shade is a brilliant gold. Shade is supported by a very ornate antique brass stand with single socket. SIZE: 17-1/2″ t. OSCAR BACH MIRRORED CONSOLE. Outstanding Oscar Bach console has three stylized dolphin feet leading to black wrought iron legs supporting the half round console table. The front of the console is decorated with openwork metal design of center shield with winged Griffins on each side. The table is finished with a black glass top. Attached to the console table is an arched mirror with openwork metal design of winding grapevines, grapes and leaves. The openwork is backed by green slag glass and the mirror is finished with two electric candle sconces (probably not original to the piece); one at each lower corner of the mirror. The open metal work and dolphin feet are all done in a copper tone finish contrasting with the black wrought iron framework of the entire console. SIZE: 24-1/2″ w x 75″ t. PAIR OF OSCAR BACH CANDLESTICK LAMPS. These hexagonal shaped stems are supported by four grotesque figures with ram heads exaggerated feet all on a square pedestal base with four rams head feet. The candlestick portion is further enhanced by cardboard candle tubes with socket and harp above. Signed on the underside “Oscar B Bach Studios New York” together with insignia. SIZE: 28″ t. OSCAR BACH BOUDOIR LAMP. Oscar Bach brass lamp begins with a center shaft with decorative scroll work arms on either side which lead up to a brass topped shade with grape and leaf overlay on an amber mica glass, further decorating this shade are two faces of Bacchus. TIFFANY STUDIOS CHINESE TYLER TABLE LAMP. Rare and important lamp begins with a massive leaded glass shade in the Tyler family. The shade is comprised of true dichroic Tiffany glass which changes from heavily mottled green and yellow unlit to vibrant green and fiery orange when lit. The shade itself begins with very small rectangular tiles which gradually increase in size until a band of horizontal tiles are introduced. Horizontal bands extend from this pattern that repeat forty-eight times with each pattern having two long vertical tiles of glass along with two small geometric tiles. The apron itself is comprised of five rows of horizontal tiles with the under skirt having a half moon pattern atop the final geometric band. The shape and pattern of the shade transcends from the Art Nouveau to the Arts & Crafts style. The shape of the shade is commonly referred to as a Chinese Tyler shade. Shade is signed with a very early small tag “Tiffany Studios New York”. This incredible shade is supported by an equally important base. The base begins with four sockets and swan shaped necks and extends down into a decorated canister form with large applied bronze bead work. From there, three slender curving legs are finished with cats paw feet, all of this set on a raised platform with circular plate and completed with a final band of bead work. The lamp is finished with the original top cap. The entire lamp carries a desirable green-brown patina finish. Base is signed twice on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York”. A similar example may be found in the book “Tiffany At Auction” by Alastair Duncan, page 87, plate 232. SIZE: Shade is 18″ dia. Overall 34″ t. CONDITION: Lamp is very good to excellent with the shade having very few tight hairlines with no missing glass or damaged cracks. The shade is very dirty, probably from being in a smoker’s household. All of these wonderful colors are set against a multitude of green hues from a light blue-green to turquoise to seafoam green; all with different textures and striated colorations. TIFFANY STUDIOS LILY & PRISM CHANDELIER. Outrageous chandelier begins with six gold lily shades and nineteen prisms in wonderful colors of oyster, gold, amber and green with a deep iridescence over the lilies and complimentary prisms. All of this Tiffany glass surrounds a decorated stalagtite Tiffany shade with deep vertical ribbing and a hooked feather pattern. This shade is supported by a bronze collar, three chains and hooks. The shades are supported by a Moorish style bronze hanging fixture with openwork at the top, medallions of roping above six lily shade holders, nineteen prism hooks and a single stem for the stalagtite shade. Further accenting this lamp alternating between the prisms are nineteen beaded chains that end in bronze balls. This entire lamp is supported by a bronze decorated ceiling cap, chain and S hook. Stalagtite shade is signed “S323” and one lily shade is signed “L.C.T. Favrile” and another is signed “L.C.T.” and the remainder are unsigned. SIZE: Overall 42″ l. TIFFANY STUDIOS CURTAIN BORDER FLOOR LAMP. This curtain border design is one of the most popular designs ever created by Tiffany Studios and was one of the first designs and transcended through all the production years of Tiffany. This handsome shade begins with heavily striated green panels of glass in a vertical feather design with yellow glass diamond shaped pieces of glass then extends back into the green glass with a single border of smaller geometric panels in yellow. The shade ends with vertical rectangular pattern of heavily rippled glass in various shades of yellow, orange and rum. Shade is supported by a senior decorated floor base with six swan head sockets. Supporting the shade are three arms that end with a shell design set above a ribbed floor stem that ends in a decorated padded platform base with four feet. TIFFANY STUDIOS ENAMELED SPANISH DESK SET. Seven piece desk set includes two tier paper rack, inkwell, notepad, cedar lined cigarette box and blotter ends. Entire set has a wonderful gold dore, time darkened finish with enamel accents. This pattern is considered by many collectors to be the best of all Tiffany desk set patterns and pieces are even shown on the cover of the book “Tiffany Desk Treasures” by Kemeny & Miller. The central design of the Spanish pattern depicts medieval decoration with animals that blend into decorative accents, tails of fish-like creatures become frames at the top of the memo pad cover, tails of winged dragons blend into leafy foliage and turn into fish, dragons have wings instead of four legs and even the fish seem to have feathers. All of these creatures have opened mouths with tongues. Some pieces have repetitive patterns of urns while others have two nude children centrally located facing each other. The paper rack has arabesques in reference to Spain’s Moorish conquerors. The inkwell has unbelievable carved winged creatures in high relief. EARLY TIFFANY STUDIOS CHANDELIER. Absolutely magnificent Tiffany chandelier was commissioned by the 1st Presbyterian Church of Buffalo, New York in 1895. The lamp is complete with a photocopy of the church ledger showing payment in March of 1895 for the sanctuary lamp as well as a copy of a photograph of the sanctuary with this impressive lamp in place. The lamp has six bulging panels of amber rippled glass, each surrounded by amber faceted jewels. A triangular section between each bulging oval is done in beautiful pink, slightly opalescent glass with two center medallions of light blue translucent glass with metal overlay and faceted blue jewels encircling the medallion. The center of each medallion is finished with a lovely faceted jewel. The massive shade is suspended from six heavy rigid chains, every other link is a solid link with large faceted blue glass jewel. The chains are suspended from six arms at the top with a red faceted jewel adorning the end of each arm. A decoration of five descending chains fills the area between each support chain. Each decorative chain has a leaded glass leaf at the end. The bottom of the shade is finished with a round dome of pink and white, slightly opalescent glass, two rows of light blue faceted glass jewels and a center white opalescent turtleback. The fixture was originally a gas light fixture and has at some time been electrified for more modern use. The four socket cluster used to electrify the lamp is an original early Tiffany cluster. TIFFANY STUDIOS RED TULIP TABLE LAMP. This shade depicts the tulip flower in every stage of bloom. The colors used encompass the entire range of the red family from pink to red to purple. Some blossoms are entirely constructed of the softer colors, while others use striations of light, medium and dark to give a three-dimensional effect. There are other blossoms that used only the deepest colors and represent the flower in its later stage of bloom. This tulip pattern also shows the foliage in every color of green imaginable. Glass used in this shade is also of a wide variety from striated to cats paw to rippled and finally granular. The shade is completed with three geometric bands of rippled glass in earthen hues of fiery orange with hints of green. The shade is supported by a highly desirable mock turtleback base. TIFFANY STUDIOS BLOWN GLASS CANDELABRA. Exquisite six arm candelabra is made of bronze and has a gorgeous patina finish of brown with hints of green and red. From the oval shaped platform base arises a single center stem with three candle cups on either side. Each of these candle cups have green blown glass ornamentation and are each completed with a bobeche. In the center stem of the candlestick rests a Tiffany snuffer that is concealed when in place. TIFFANY STUDIOS 3-ARMED JEWELED CANDELABRA. Three armed candelabra is nicely decorated with jewels of glass in muted green and amber with beautiful iridescent highlights. Candle cups are completed with three bobeches. All of this is supported by a center shaft that extends downward into an organic root base. The candelabra is completed with chained snuffer. RARE TIFFANY STUDIOS DIVER HELMET DESK LAMP. Lamp begins with a solid bronze circular pedestal foot that supports turtleback tiles representing the shape of a divers helmet. The turtleback tiles are a beautiful butterscotch hue with clambroth coloration with both colors having a beautiful iridescent finish. Lamp is completed with a bronze hammered loop handle with openwork beneath. Lamp has a single socket for proper illumination. LARGE TIFFANY FURNACES FRAME. Rare decorated frame is commonly referred to as the Heraldic Frame because of its design being comprised of knight’s helmets set amidst scroll work and other symbols including medieval weapons, coats of arms, sailing ship and other unique items with a Latin banner to the corner reading “Vincit Omnia Veritas (Truth Conquers All). Possibly a special order. The bronze rectangular frame has a simple attached back plate with open top to slide the glass and pictures in and out and has a wonderful aged thick chocolate brown patina with green and red highlights. TIFFANY STUDIOS DAFFODIL TABLE LAMP. This exceptional fully leaded daffodil shade begins with long stems which come down from a single aperture band of glass. These stems and daffodil blossoms cover the majority of the cone surface. The glass used in the stems varies from dark green to marsh green with yellow highlights. The actual blossoms are constructed in various forms of glass including striated, rippled and granular. The blossom colors range from vibrant lemon to a golden sunset with rum colored centers. The background glass is a gorgeous medium green that simply sparkles with all of its striations. The shade is finished with three bands of geometric formed glass with a soft green opalescent hue. TIFFANY STUDIOS YELLOW TULIP TABLE LAMP. Lamp begins with tulip blossoms in various stages of bloom ranging from lemon yellow to warm sunset orange. Mottled glass is generously used throughout this design. The slender flower stems are constructed of granular glass in greens and blues a brighter green tinged with yellow is used for remaining foliage. The background glass is a dramatic blue and is irregularly streaked with hints of green and while it contrast with both the blossoms and the foliage, it also blends nicely. Instead of chunk jewels, this shade has heavily textured glass representing the jewels. The soft green glass at the top is heavily mottled, while the geometric border panels are striated. TIFFANY STUDIOS GEOMETRIC TABLE LAMP. Wonderful Tiffany table lamp has geometric leaded dichroic glass shade. The beautiful dichroic shade is nicely mottled and shows colors of green, tan and mauve when unlit. When lit, the glass turns a warm rich orange. Shade is signed “Tiffany Studios New York 1436” and rests atop a wonderful early Tiffany Studios base with an incised and slightly raised wave design. TIFFANY LEADED GLASS WINDOW. Wonderful Tiffany window depicts a center fruit bowl surrounded by grapevines and bunches of grapes with columns on each side. The bunches of grapes are beautifully designed with purple cabochons making up each individual grape. The grape clusters are then plated with a purple-blue mottled glass giving the clusters a wonderful realistic look when back lit. The columns are made up of beautiful lavender color drapery glass giving the window an interesting color and texture. The window is framed in a heavy metal frame with top hooks for hanging. Unsigned. STAINED GLASS BANK WINDOW. Wonderful large leaded glass window has center lettering “Merchants Bank” in creamy white letters against a purple glass background. The purple glass framing the letters is set against a rich amber colored stained glass background and there is a nicely executed green wreath on each side of the lettering. Center of each wreath is a rich mottled maroon glass and the wreath is further decorated with a flowing pink ribbon design. The entire window is bordered with a band of geometric translucent green glass panels. The window is housed in what appears to be its original window frame that has had contemporary molding applied to the front to make it look more like a frame. SIZE: Window is 38″ x 122″. Overall is 43-1/2″ x 127″. CONDITION: Overall very good with one corner of the border glass missing and a few tight hairlines, primarily in the border. Fully leaded shade represents dogwood blossoms in various stages of bloom with the predominant colors ranging from soft pink to mauve with striations of soft purples and blues. This shade is an exceptional example of the work created by Duffner & Kimberly because of the glass used and the intricate lead work. DUFFNER & KIMBERLY LEADED ORCHID TABLE LAMP. Extremely rare and beautiful shade has four central panels leaded to represent white orchids in various stages of bloom. The glass used in the pattern is primarily white with striations of soft green with a few pieces being rippled glass to give more of a depth to the flowers. The background foliage is a multitude of greens set against a softly striated spring green. These four panels are set in rows of geometric glass and in every shade of green imaginable. HANDEL METAL OVERLAY SCENIC LAMP. Shade begins with nine green slag panels of glass overlaid with a geometric brick pattern which is further complimented by nine scenic panels of glass. These panels are depicted with trees, houses and churches which are obverse painted against sunset colored glass. Over these nine scenic panels is an overlay of trees which gives a three-dimensional effect of viewing these scenes through the trees. The shade is supported by one of the most desirable Handel bases ever created. The base is commonly referred to as a swampy birch base, with its bulbous form and trees in relief. The base is completed with three sockets, three acorn pull chains, top cap and finial. This lamp has a rich green brown patina finish overall. Shade is signed “Handel” on aperture rim. HANDEL TREASURE ISLAND TABLE LAMP. Wonderful lamp begins with a dome shaped shade reverse painted with a decoration of palm trees, ocean and sailing ships against a moon lit bay. Two of the curved corner panels are broken and missing some glass, one corner panel has a tight hairline and one corner panel is perfect. Both end panels are in perfect condition and one large main panel has a tight hairline, the other is perfect. The shade rests on an original Handel double candelabra base. HANDEL BLUE CHINESE PHEASANT TABLE LAMP. Shade begins with two Chinese pheasants painted in vibrant oranges, yellows, mauve, green and gray with minute detailing given to every aspect of the bird. These birds are set against a royal blue background with green vertical stripes that represent the stylized foliage. Also decorating the shade are flowers painted in various shades of pink with yellow foliage and buds. The shade is completed with areas of gray and white to give it a truly three-dimensional effect. This shade is supported by a three socket base with two gargoyle heads supporting rings. This domical shaped shade has a sand finished exterior painted on the interior with three very colorful parrots perched on branches with complimentary foliage that are painted in shades of rose and yellow with green foliage. All of this design is on a marbelized white background with veins of color in blue, black and green. The birds are exceptionally well painted in primary hues of red, yellow and blue. The minute detail given to the eyes, beaks and plumage is second to none. The shade is supported by a three column polychrome base with three sockets, three tassel pulls and three amber teardrop and floral prisms. The base is topped with an amber ball finial. The base is then completed with red enameling around the foot. Shade is signed on the aperture ring “Handel Lamps” and on the inside rim “Handel 7128” and artist signed “Palme”. The base is unsigned. WILKINSON SWIRLING DAFFODIL TABLE LAMP. Rare and seldom seen fully leaded table lamp has a border of realistic daffodils created in lemon yellow with green foliage and border glass of tan. This decoration is set against a rare swirl effect leaded background in amethyst glass that was a favorite of the Wilkinson Company. This irregular bordered shade is supported by a four socket base with four acorn pulls. Base has an antique brass finish and appears to be all original. GORHAM LEADED TABLE LAMP. Stunning Gorham leaded shade has rich red poppies extending around the entire shade with variegated green leaves against a striated blue background. Beautiful butterflies in flight surround the shoulder of this massive shade. The shade rests on an absolutely magnificent bronze base with raised poppy design in high relief at the four feet of the base. The bulging stem is also decorated with high relief poppies on two sides and butterflies on the other two sides. The riser supports a large six socket cluster. RARE GORHAM AZALEA TABLE LAMP. Irregular border shade is constructed in a pattern of azaleas in various stages of bloom. The azalea flowers have beautiful cats paw textured glass in every pink hue imaginable from soft baby pink to deep red. The foliage is also constructed in a variety of glass including highly textured glass, granular to striated glass. Finally the background glass is a soft butterscotch color so that all of the focus is on the azalea flowers and foliage. WILLIAMSON LEADED FLOOR LAMP. Massive leaded floor lamp shade has a predominant pattern of an Art Nouveau shell design in green and butterscotch glass. The upper leaded panels are of a softer butterscotch hue intermixed with a vertical pattern in vibrant spring green and red. All of this is encircled in a beautiful rum hued glass border. There are several types of glass used in this shade including striated, cats paw and a rippled texture. Shade is supported by a senior six socket floor base with six acorn pulls. WILLIAMSON LOUIS XV TABLE LAMP. Attributed to Williamson, this fully leaded shade begins at the aperture with an amber colored Art Nouveau design that flows into medallions with colors of green, yellow, rum, butterscotch and light blue. Vertical panels of blue, butterscotch and turquoise glass used in this lamp is highly textured and gives off a very warm feeling. The design is one of the most intricate that Williamson created. The shade is supported by a three socket base that represents the epitome of the Art Nouveau period with an acorn finial, top cap and acanthus leaf decorated stem and foot. MASSIVE BRONZE CHANDELIER. Outstanding chandelier has heavy cast bronze frame with open scroll work and wreath design surrounding the shade. The shade has twelve panels of caramel slag glass which lead to the extremely heavy cast bronze top. QUEZAL 10-LIGHT LILY LAMP. Lamp begins with ten nicely matched Quezal lily shades with each having a deep gold ground and superb iridescent finish of deep purple, blue and magenta. These shades are supported by a 10-light lily base that is decorated with lily pads and buds around the bottom platform with ten stems extending upwards and gently showering over to the shade holders. All shades are marked “Quezal” on the fitter and base is marked on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York”. We are told that Quezal commissioned Tiffany Studios to produce this base in the bright gold patina and with the Quezal shade mounts. SIZE: 18″ t. UNIQUE WOODBINE TABLE LAMP. Massive irregular bordered shade has an overall floral pattern in vibrant russet, orange and tinges of red all set against a multicolored green background. Various textures of glass are used in the shade. Flowing from the aperture is an Art Nouveau pattern in butterscotch. Shade is supported by a three socket ribbed stemmed base which flows into an acanthus leaf motif at the foot. SIZE: Shade is 22″ dia. Overall 28″ t. SUESS APPLE BLOSSOM LEADED TABLE LAMP. This fully leaded shade is decorated with an allover apple blossom pattern running the gamut of the color pink from soft baby pink to deep fuschia with striations of peach and yellow throughout the flowers. All of this is set on a white ground with a multitude of foliage in various earthen hues. Shade is supported by a three socket, four legged paw footed base that is adjustable. The base has a dirty, but nice dark patina finish and is completed with top cap. This lamp was produced by the Suess Ornamental Glass Co. of Chicago, IL. SIZE: Shade is 20″ dia. Overall 22″ t.
