Galle wooden card table has marquetry inlay floral design rising from the front of table top. Table top folds open from the center to reveal additional marquetry inlays of walnut and mahogany stylized leaves along with what appears to be maple hearts, ebony spades, what appears to be maple diamonds and an ebony club inlaid into a birdseye maple background. Early Galle vase is done in shaded amber glass with a cylindrical body ending in a honeycomb shaped lip. Vase is decorated with random patches of cameo honeycomb design, and is further decorated with heavily enameled stems, flowers and leaves ascending from the foot with enameled honey bees flying around the flowers. Several of the individual honeycombs are also enameled in lightly mottled colors. Signed on the underside with polished and lightly gilded signature “Emile Galle” framed within honeycombs. Early Galle vase has cameo bleeding heart flowers, stems and leaves descending from the top of the vase. Cameo decoration is heavily enameled in greens, browns, white and red, all set against a vertically ribbed translucent green glass body. Vase is further decorated with an acid textured design forming a background for the cameo flowers. Acid texturing gives way to the clear green glass area near the foot. Vase is finished with a 3 sectioned top, each section turned to meet in the middle forming a closed top with open sides. Galle vase has brown and green cameo decoration of trees, bushes and a footbridge crossing a stream, there is a silhouette of a gentleman standing on the footbridge. 1) Rich green glass cologne bottle has oval panels surrounding the bulbous body leading to a faceted hexagon neck, bottle is finished with a hollow blown faceted stopper. 2) Yellow pressed glass cologne bottle has oval panels with indented centers surrounding the body leading to a faceted neck, bottle is finished with a tear drop shaped hollow blown stopper with faceted top. 3) Vaseline colored pressed glass cologne bottle has oval panels surrounding the hexagonal body leading to faceted neck, bottle is finished with a teardrop shaped hollow blown and faceted stopper. SIZE: 1) 8-1/4″ t. 2) 7-58″ t. 3) 6-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: Dr. Robert LeVere Collection. CONDITION: 1) Some minor roughness to the outside edge of the lip with evidence of grinding. Some minor flea bites to facet and oval edges on both bottle and stopper. Neck of bottle has an internal line encircling the neck that at first appears to be an internal crack but upon closer examination is a thread from the making. Stopper is a perfect match in color, but is not a perfect fit. 2) Stopper has a small shell shaped flake at the top point as well as some minor roughness to the bottom edge, there is a white silica inclusion in the making of the stopper.
