TURQUOISE GROUND FAMILLE ROSE CHARGER.

Qianlong mark but possibly later, China. The charger with shallow rounded sides and openwork rim, is finished with meandering vines and blossoms all done on a turquoise glazed ground. The underside with matching design and stands on a slightly splayed foot with rose colored leaf accents ending at a smooth foot rim. Qianlong seal in iron red. The underside bears numerous labels including examples with the names of Marchant and Nathan Bentz, and is also accompanied with a paper receipt from the London San Knight Antique Gallery Museum, dated 1970. Our research has been unable to verify the references to these former collections. SIZE: 15-1/2″ dia.
