JADE COVERED VASE.

China. Qing Dynasty. The vase carved from a grayish colored stone having russet inclusions. The exterior with a wide band of archaistic design above a ring of lappets accenting the tall splayed foot. Two large mask and ring handles on each side along with four smaller handles adorning the neck. Comes with original domed cover, having lotus form finial. The vase is very well hollowed and comes with fitted wood stand. SIZE: 8-1/2″ h (without stand). PROVENANCE: Sold Robert C. Eldred Co., August 22nd, 1984, lot #155.
