FINE BAROQUE NUREMBERG JEWELED CROSS.

Circa 1780. This fine late 18th century example set with seed pearls, natural green and white gemstones (possibly emeralds and diamonds), and Amethyst set in a gold setting of undetermined fineness. The whole suspended on a fine link and seed pearl chain. Assay mark not observed, “N” hallmark at base of cross on reverse (see photo) for Nuremberg. Accompanied by a later fitted leather box.
