EXCEPTIONAL EARLY FOUR PIECE COIN SILVER TEA SERVICE BY S. KIRK & SON.

The set consisting of; 11″ h teapot, 9-1/2″ h creamer, 7″ h covered sugar, and a 5-1/2″ waste bowl. Each piece marked “S. Kirk & Son”. Each piece set on a round tall pedestal foot, the bodies decorated with repousse leaves and flowers. Each piece having a family crest which incorporates a running deer and stag horn crest. The two covers have as their finials stag horn rack, which may indicated that this was a special commission. Circa 1846-1861. Weight of silver 83 troy oz. PROVENANCE: The Webster Family Trust descended from the Rockefeller/Dodge Family.
