SCARCE JEP VOISON BLUE TORPEDO WITH ORIGINAL BOX.

Of the Jep series of automotive vehicles, this is a more elusive example. Enameled in dark blue with a nickel plated radiator and headlamps on either side. An open styled car with a simulated roof folded down with a clockwork mechanism that engaged the rear axle by means of a drive shaft. Oftentimes Jep incorporated this lifelike feature in their toy automobiles. Interior lever would engage the mechanism in forward or reverse. Steering is accomplished via the steering wheel within the vehicle. Accompanied by its original box with directions (in French of course) on underside of box lid, and with key. SIZE: 13″ l. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Morris Racker. CONDITION: Box is in relatively good condition with a flap on the lid in need of reattachment.
